For the last movie, I would like to introduce a movie about shark—“The Meg!” It talks about how a gigantic shark suffers human and also how do people deal with it. This movie seems frightening since the sudden appearance of the shark and it’s momentum shock the audience!
In the movie, the main actor, Jonas Taylor, used to be a rescuer. A long time before, a US nuclear submarine crashed at the bottom of the Philippine Trench. When Jonas entered the submarine to rescue people inside, he witnessed the submarine hull being directly deformed by a large marine life impact. On the way to the evacuation, he learned that the other two teammates were trapped at the other end and could not escape. He then left those two people since he knows he would die if he went deeper. Although 11 survivors were rescued, Jonas was rebuked by the team’s medical officer Heller for leaving his teammates. Jonas couldn’t stand of Heller’s abuse, so he moved to Thailand and determined never engaged in rescuing.
Five years later, A billionaire named Morris came to the deep sea research base in which he invested. He met Dr. Chang, who’s responsible for the experiments in the research base, and Dr. Chang’s daughter, Suyin. They dispatched a submarine which dived into the depths of the Mariana Trench and crossed the bottom of the seabed. However, the submarine was assailed by a huge shark, and people inside it died. The explore team then go to Jonas, require him to help survey the accident. Jonas knows he has to come forward for the problem, or more people will die.
After Jonas’ joining, the team then learned that the giant shark began to attack the ship in the nearby waters and decided to work together to capture and kill it. They worked so hard to kill the first giant shark. When they think they’re safe, another meg comes out and eats and hurts a ton of people, including Morris and Dr.Chang! Jonas and Suyin then fight the second meg. Eventually, Jonas wins the battle, and he goes on vacation with Suyin.
The movie is attractive since not only the science fiction of the meg but also its sound and movement are vivid. When the shark roars to people, the sound is really frightening! If you like to enjoy stimulating but not horror movies, this movie might be suitable for you!
