Since I was little, I’ve been interested in magical tricks— not things form a magician but the tricks that seem to come from spells and magic. When seeing the movie Now You See Me, I was shocked by its incredible magic show! Though we couldn’t say if their tricks were true or not, many people were still attracted by the film’s special effects, and I am one of those too!
The movie talks about the Four Horsemen, which is a group that plays magic tricks to trick people in the world, was kidnapped by an evil boss of a company and were forced to steal a chip which can decipher any code in the world. The Four Horsemen, however, had no choice but to help the evil horse. When they got to the place where the chip was, the security is very strict. In my personal view, the scenes that they were trying to steal the chip and to escape from the security’s frisking are the most exciting part of the movie. That is, they put the chip into a poker card, then next is the time for them to show their tricks of playing the card. The skills seem unbelievable, like folding cards quickly between one’s palm and the back of the hand in order to avoid letting the security see the card. Also, they shoot the card with the chips to others when there’re too many securities around them, and the cards flew so straight to other people’s hands.
There are tons of tricks that were also amazing in the movies. I think the main reason that the movie is so popular is that the Asia star singer, Jay Chou, acted in the movie. Jay’s song Now You See Me, which was sung in Chinese, was also the theme song of this film. The setting took place in Shanghai, China. Reasons above attracts numerous people to watch the movie. So, if you like Jay Chou or specific magic shows, don’t forget to watch this movie!
