Have you ever imagined living in an unreal place, such as a digital world? If the answer is “Yes”, you must see the movie “Ready Player One.” It is a science fiction movie with lots of scenes of adventure and romance, which is adapted from the novel with the same name, directed by Steven Speilberg. It’s about players’ relationships in the popular technology in the future, and due to the theme is settled as being in the future, it attracted lots of audiences who like video games.
So, what’s the plot about in “Ready Player One”? The setting of it is in 2045, which the technology has already evolved to the concretion of VR. Therefore, a game designer created a virtual digital world named “OASIS”. By the time the virtual world is created, the real world on the Earth is lacking supplies and the gap between the poor and the rich increase, and most of the people are poor. In order to escape from suffering in the real world, people choose to enjoy themselves in OASIS. In OASIS, one can act like what he or she wants to be like, which one is able to create a personality that is definitely different from his or her true nature in the reality. Anyway, there is a mission for every player in the OASIS, that is, whoever solves the riddle from the creator and get to the final, he or she may get a huge amount of money as the creator’s heritage! And the main character, Wade, solves the first riddle and get the evidence to the second riddle. However, he is being spotted by the evil company whose boss tries to get the heritage stop at nothing. The boss even sends some assailants to attack Wade and his friends. At the same time they are escaping, Wade falls in love with the girl, Samantha. How can Wade get to the final by escaping the evil company at the same time? Also, how come Wade and Samantha deal with the problem of love? Will there be any surprise at the end of the film?
